About the event
Human-led cyber security that eliminates advanced and emerging threats.
Managed Detection & Response (MDR) services act as an extension of your security team, combining human-led investigations, threat hunting, real-time monitoring, and rapid incident response.
The goal of MDR is to detect and respond to threats in customer environments that have circumvented preventative security controls such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR). MDR providers have risen to fill the threat detection and response gap left by these tools.
First Technology Western Cape, in strong partnership with Sophos, will explore the innovative methods and technologies employed by MDR specialists to discover and eliminate advanced and emerging cyber security threats.
Leading the discussion are Sean Swanepoel, Pre-sales Engineer at Sophos, Pieter Nel, Sophos Regional Head of SADC, and Mark Roberts, Channel Account Manager at Sophos. They will be discussing the pivotal role MDR plays in modern cyber security, the essential factors to consider when onboarding an MDR team, and how Sophos is leading the next step in adaptive and impenetrable cyber protection.
