You may have heard the phrase, “data is the new oil.” It’s actually a pretty good metaphor because oil doesn’t have any value on its own, it has to be refined into something like gasoline or plastic. Similarly, we’re all inundated with a ton of data, but that data has to be refined into business insights in order to have real value. As a result, we’re going to look at how big data drives digital transformation. [1]
