HP beefs up Helion cloud with Eucalyptus for AWS and new OpenStack versions

“Along with new versions of its Helion OpenStack distribution and dev platform, HP has unveiled the first release of the open-source Eucalyptus cloud-building tool since its acquisition last September. Now part of HP’s Helion enterprise cloud product line, the 4.1 iteration of Eucalyptus, which enables firms to build clouds on Amazon Web Services, offers app templates designed to streamline the delivery of services and reduce errors in complex configurations, and a simpler web-based interface for managing Amazon S3-compatible object storage.” [1]
